Universal Geneve Compax Chronograph 22409
Beautiful Universal Geneve Compax Chronograph Ref. 22409 in a 38mm Spillman case, featuring the 17-Jewel Caliber 285 hand-wound movement. This UG was serviced in August 2023, and has nine (9) distinct service marks in the caseback. This watch keeps wonderful time and the chronograph resets to "0."
The dial has a beautiful patina (see photos) with clear numerals and the original lume paint still present and clear. The original blued hands and crisp and match the patina of the dial. The crystal is clear and free of scratches or mars. The case shows light wear consistent with age, but no major gouges or dents. The caseback retains the original circular brushed finish with a few tool marks. The case does not appear to have been polished, but we are unable to state the watch has never been polished in 60+ years.
Includes a new Horween Chromexcel two-piece leather strap with brushed silver buckle.
